Yoga is an ideal activity for pregnancy. Its focus on breath, meditation, and positions specifically designed to accommodate the growth and expansion of the pregnant body help prepare you for the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of labor, birth, and beyond. Prenatal yoga is gentle and safe and will assist in increasing strength, stability, and flexibility, along with deepening connection between your body, mind, and baby. Prenatal yoga has even been shown to help lower blood pressure, risk of preterm birth, and pregnancy induced hypertension, as well as decrease levels of depression and improve birth satisfaction. Join us each month as Kristie McCourt guides you through a series of poses that you can then practice at home on your own.

Kristie McCourt is an impassioned educator and mother to three who believes the practice of yoga occurs on and off the mat. As a mom to two infants and a teenager, Kristie believes yoga and mindfulness are the keys to self-care, staying present, and maintaining balance in the midst of chaos. As a licensed PA educator and a certified yoga instructor, Kristie is passionate about yoga as a tool for healing, and finding ways to make yoga accessible to all. She loves working with youth and families, and encourages all students to allow the practice to meet their needs in the moment. When not on the mat, Kristie enjoys dance parties and doing yoga with her babies, snuggling with her schnoodle, Snoop, and being outdoors.
