The Cloth Option is open to everyone, both LWC and non-LWC clients. Please feel free to spread the word!

Are you interested in cloth diapering, but have questions about the types of diapers available, care and cost? Join us to learn the basics of cloth diapering and whether cloth diapering is a good option for your family. During this one-time session, you will learn about the benefits of using cloth diapers, the types of reusable diapers available, and the basics of washing diapers. You will also learn tips and tricks for making cloth diapering work while traveling, at daycare or with babysitters.

“Having delivered twice at The Birth Center at LWC, I couldn’t be happier with my experiences. I felt so cared for and safe there. Welcoming, comforting, trustworthy—the combination of the homey feel I wanted with professional, experienced midwives and nurses let me relax, knowing I was in good hands. The midwives, always there when we needed them, also seemed to know just when to give us space. When pushing became difficult during my second birth, the midwife quickly assessed the situation and helped me get things back on track. I can’t imagine birthing anywhere else.”

Christine Prestianne is a LWC client and mom who currently uses cloth diapers on her one year old. Christine volunteers with The Cloth Option, a nonprofit organization working to end diaper need throughout the country and in the Philadelphia area.  When not volunteering with The Cloth Option, Christine teaches elementary school and enjoys spending time outside with her family.
