LWC’s Lactation Department is Spreading Cheer

It’s the Season of Celebration and LWC’s Lactation Team is spreading cheer in more ways than one!

Our team approach to care which includes review and diagnoses by our midwives and access to prescription and lab work means we are able to bill most major insurance providers including United Healthcare, Highmark, Keystone First, Aetna Better Health, and many more*, making our comprehensive lactation services accessible to far more people. This is certainly cause for celebration!

All of our lactation services are open to the public and include:

• One-on-one lactation consultations with our IBCLCs (appointments are available at both our Bryn Mawr location and our South Philadelphia satellite office)
• Our Focus on Breastfeeding prenatal breastfeeding class, conveniently offered 2-3 times every month
• Free, biweekly breastfeeding support groups in four locations (Rosemont, West Philadelphia, South Philadelphia, and Phoenixville)

Another reason to celebrate… our beautifully updated lactation suite! We are so thankful to everyone who donated to our campaign earlier this year and made it possible for LWC to purchase cozy new furniture for our breastfeeding clients to enjoy.
