Looking Ahead: We Need Your Support for Lifecycle WomanCare in 2021

Thinking back to January, who could have predicted what 2020 would hold? At Lifecycle WomanCare, we have approached the loss and uncertainty of this year head-on. The strength and dedication of our nurses, midwives and entire staff has never been more apparent.

We have been able to face the trials of 2020 with creativity, skill, and the gracious backing from the broader LWC community.

Your help was imperative to LWC throughout 2020. In the upcoming year, we have plans to help LWC continue to evolve and adapt. We’re counting on your support once again.

Your year-end gift will provide LWC with the additional resources we need to:

  • Establish on-site counseling and social work services to provide additional pre-natal and postpartum support to our clients coping with anxiety or other challenges. The first step is to renovate existing office space at our building in Bryn Mawr.
  • Refurbish our well-loved and well-utilized birth suites and family common areas to continue our tradition of offering a welcoming and comfortable space for our birthing clients.
  • Secure the future of the Certified Birth Person Support Training through support of our staff members’ time and creativity.
  • Subsidize the pool of money available for the Black Birthship Fund so that it continues for future clients in years to come.

As a community-centered non-profit organization, we need your financial assistance to put these plans into action. This year, we are also asking you to consider broadening your impact by setting up a monthly donation.

To show our appreciation for your sustaining gift, we will send a LWC pin to everyone who signs up to make a donation of $10 or more per month. You will also be entered into a drawing to win a sterling silver commemorative LWC necklace designed by local artist Michele Judge (valued at $100).

If midwifery matters to you, show your support by making a donation to LWC today. Thank you!
