After 47 years of serving our community and welcoming more than 16,000 babies, it is with very heavy hearts that we share that Lifecycle Wellness and Birth Center will be closing its doors in 2026.
Staff Nurse

Megan King

Megan worked as a staff nurse at Lifecycle from 2011- 2019 and returned to the birth suites in 2022. Megan was inspired to become a nurse by her mother, who was also a strong nurse with a diverse career. She also says “there’s just something about birth… if you know, you know.”

Megan holds multiple certifications, including NRP, BLS, ACLA, AWHONN, NICU, high risk L and D, homecare, and education. She has been a speaker at the American Academy of Birth Centers conference for multiple years and contributed an article to Philly Mag entitled “Why I Ate My Own Placenta.”

Her favorite thing about Lifecycle are her coworkers – “they are so much more than that. They’re family.”

Outside of work, when Megan is not busy trying to keep up with her two boys, she is cooking, enjoying a cold beer, trying to escape to the beach, and finding ways to dissent.
