PENNSLVANIA’S FIRST LICENSED BIRTH CENTER – LIFECYCLE WOMANCARE – TURNS 40
The Bryn Mawr center is one of the oldest continually operating birth centers in the U.S. and Pennsylvania’s first licensed birth center. Incorporated in August 1978, Lifecycle WomanCare (LWC)–formerly The Birth Center–welcomed its first baby in February 1980. As it celebrates its 40th birthday, LWC expects to welcome its 13,000th baby, a sign of the increased interest in midwifery in the U.S.
The Birth Center Presents Our Third Annual Symposium on the State of Women’s Health
Lifecycle WomanCare, previously known as The Birth Center, will host its third annual symposium on The State of Women’s Health on April 25, 2018 from 12:00pm until 6:30pm. This event will explore the critical health issues facing women, families and non-binary individuals today and will be held in the Hall of Flags, in Houston Hall at The University of Pennsylvania. Tickets are $40-$60.
The Birth Center Presents Inaugural Forum on the State of Women’s Health
The Birth Center (TBC) has announced that it will host an inaugural forum on the State of Women’s Health on June 10, 2015 from 8:00 am to 10:30 am, at the Union League of Philadelphia. Founded in 1978 as a non-profit organization, TBC has been delivering high-quality and empowering women’s healthcare in the Philadelphia region for more than 36 years.
